Dr. Karen Benzies awarded for Excellence in Research

Congratulations to Dr. Karen Benzies for being named the recipient of the 2010 College & Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA) award for Excellence in Research.

The CARNA Awards Gala in April 2010 will celebrate the achievements of Registered Nurses in Alberta, Canada. The CARNA awards recognises Alberta nursing excellence in seven categories.

Dr. Suzanne Tough awarded at YWCA/Global Television's Women of Vision Luncheon

Global Television’s Woman of Vision celebrates the accomplishments of outstanding women – women who have implemented their passion and whose personal dedication and actions inspire us all.

Monday’s YWCA/Global Television’s Women of Vision luncheon honoured the 12 women featured on Global TV’s Women of Vision series during the past year. Dr. Suzanne Tough was Calgary’s Women of Vision awardee for the month of May 2009.

“There are 12 women there who are so different from each other,” said Jill Wyatt, chief executive of the YWCA. “Each one, in their own way, is doing something totally inspirational and it’s important in our lives to celebrate the good things.”
